Mrs. Bernice Lillian Jacobs Wise

Beloved wife of Marcus for 47 years this June 14. Deeply loved, cherished mother, best friend and confidante of only child and daughter, Pamela. Dear sister of Alice Kennelly and aunt to Joanne, Patricia, Deborah, Bonnie, and William. Great aunt to 7 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Walter & Mary Jacobs, sister Marion (McMillan) and nephew Robert McMillan. Also predeceased by treasured friends, Dorothy, Cathy, Edna, Mary, Hubertine, & Helen.

Special thanks to Dr. Lori Whitehead, her respirologist who managed her care with the debilitating disease of Bronchiectasis, which she had for 18 years, though a Non-smoker, and to Michelle Kovacs, her wonderfully attentive PSW, and to Shinichi & Tom for their support and help.

Bernice loved her Catholicism, was talented in public speaking, a lover of literature, poetry and all culture. She was gifted with creativity, a dramatic flair coupled with great wit and charm. She worked in Hamilton, Montreal, Vancouver, and London, U.K. Her generosity, and kindness will forever be remembered. She was also a former canvasser for the Canadian Cancer Society. She exemplified the spirit of giving, perseverance and self-sacrifice to others throughout her entire life. There could be no greater mother and friend on earth! She will be loved forever.

Visitation at Cresmount Funeral Home 322 Fennell Ave. April. 22 (2-4pm & 7-9pm). Funeral Mass Friday, April 23 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church. Cremation to follow.
