Basmatti was a joyous, loving and giving sole, spending much of her life as a seamstress, creating beautiful clothing free style and teaching the next generation the skills and knowledge she had acquired. Ma also had a passion for planting, gardening and working the soil, which occupied her and gave her joy and sustenance throughout her life. She was always willing to teach these skills, gained over her lifetime, to anyone who asked; giving freely of her knowledge, experience and hard learned wisdom.
Ma will be sadly missed by many. A long and hard life, well lived with a chuckle and a smile, baring many fruits with embracing hugs, for every last one. The echoes of eternity will not forget Basmatti soon. The lessons she taught, the experience she gave, the love she emulated will walk with us all for generations to come.
Sleep well Ma, we’ll be ok, you did good.
