Tony was taken from us on the morning of Monday November 20, 2022 at the age of 73, due to complications associated with COPD. He met this challenge still keeping his sense of humour. Tony was predeceased by his parents Frank and Vera. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Catherine Smith (John), Frank Wolkowski (Jennifer) and Sharon Meneian (Arthur). He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces Amanda Jackson (Jeffrey) and Vanessa Smith (Maxwell Proctor) as well as his aunt, Jean Soughton. Tony worked for 40 years at the Universal Handling Equipment Company. He enjoyed rounds of golf, throwing darts and fishing trips with the guys. Special thanks to the doctors and nursing team at St. Joseph’s Medical Stepdown Unit. Their knowledge expertise and compassion assisted Tony and the family greatly. As per Tony’s wishes, cremation will take place followed by a private interment for the immediate family. An informal gathering in honour of Tony will be announced at a later date.
