It is with extraordinary sadness that we announce Anna’s passing on November 7th, 2015. Anna was born to Salomon Weber and Eleonora Glesinger in Olaszka, Hungary, on June 20th, 1924. Seeking a new life, Anna immigrated to Canada, following the Second World War. Being a new immigrant to Canada was not easy. But true to her strong character, Anna persevered. In her adopted country, she met her beloved husband, Settimio (1930-2005), and they lived a happy life together. Despite all the hardships she faced, Anna was a fighter until the end. She always fought for justice, and taught us all to live life without prejudice, hatred, and intolerance. Above all, Anna was a selfless person who always put others before herself. Anna was an extraordinary woman who touched the lives of all who knew her. Anna will be sorely missed by her son Robert, daughter Dr. Eleonora Lalli, son-in-law Kevin, daughter-in-law Caterina, her six grandchildren Anna, David, Eugene, Klara, Bryan, and Beatrice, her nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and friends. The family wishes to sincerely thank Anna’s many exceptional healthcare providers. Donations may be made to Canadian Blood Services, St.-Joseph’s Healthcare, or the Canadian Red Cross. Her family will receive friends at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Thursday, November 12th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, November 13th at 11 a.m. in the chapel followed by interment in Mt. Hamilton Cemetery. All are welcome.
