It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our dear Mom and Baba on Christmas Day, 2017 at Macassa Lodge in Hamilton, aged 89 years. Beloved mother of Lena (Gene) Track and Peter (Cameron Meyers) Brent. Devoted Baba to Brandon, Tiffany, Sean, Nicolas and Great-Baba to Jacob and Isaac. Survived by siblings Basil and Tony as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by loving husband Paul; and sisters Maria and Pauline. Baba’s greatest joy was serving her family; her cabbage rolls and pierogis were the best. Friends and family will be received at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. Panachyda at 8:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
