Steven Robert Fisher, age 69, passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital Friday, August 31, 2012. He was born in Hamilton on January 15, 1943, the son of the late Robert and Geraldine (Belcher) Fisher. As a teenager Steve worked at A & P for tuition to attend Miami University, Oxford, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree. From 1967 to 1971 he was a Math teacher at Fairfield Middle School. While teaching, he took a summer job selling cars, which led to his career as an auto salesman at Fiehrer Pontiac for the next 37 years. Steve was recognized as president of the Pontiac Master Salesmen’s Guild for over 30 consecutive years, by being the top salesman in his multi state region. His success as a salesman can be attributed to his winning personality and his ability to turn a stranger into a friend. Steve was a very selfless, giving person who always put his family first and was a great friend. His greatest joy in life was being with his family. Steve’s retirement allowed him to spend more time bicycling, canoeing, hiking, and picnicking with his grandchildren. He enjoyed travel, nature, animals, bird watching, and gardening. Steve was a kind and happy person who truly enjoyed everything in his life. He was devoted to his mother and uncle who he took care of. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his best friend and wife of 44 years, Jeannie (Hunter) Fisher; his beloved daughters, Amy (Chad) Hiles, Alana (Victor) Houston, and Kathryn Fisher; four cherished grandchildren, Robbie, Kamie, Anthony, and Brandon Houston; and two brothers, Kenneth Fisher and Kyle (Kerri) Fisher; nieces and nephews, Krista (Keith) Botner, Scott (Katie) Fisher, and Kaylee Fisher; loyal dogs, Charlotte and Roscoe. Visitation will be held at Webb-Noonan-Kidd Funeral Home on Tuesday September 4th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The ceremony will be held at the Webb-Noonan-Kidd Funeral Home Wednesday 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Condolences may be left for the family at www.Webb-Noonan.com
