Shane Victor Bruning

Shane Victor Bruning Sr., 69, of Monroe, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025. Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, he was the son of the late John and Amy (Byl) Bruning. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Peter Bruning.

Shane is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Betty Jo (Chalfant) Bruning; his son, Shane V (Courtnie) Bruning Jr., his daughter, Carly (Nick) Hershner; and his grandchildren, Corinne, Nicholas, Madyson, Trey (Shane V III), and Esabella. He is also survived by his sisters, Glenny Hays, Jill Lazarus, Shelly Isaacs, and Lori Voegele; his Godchildren, Megan, Gabrielle, and Adam.

A proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Shane enjoyed fishing, music, playing his guitar, and spending time with his beloved dogs, Annie and Lena.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Rose Hill Funeral Home, located at 2565 Princeton Road, Hamilton, on Thursday, March 20, 2025, starting at 11:00 a.m., with services following at 1:00 p.m. After the services, he will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Burial Park.
