Age 81, of Hamilton, died on Monday, May 16, 2011, at Heartland of Woodridge. She was born in Hamilton on September 9, 1929, the daughter of Arnold and Mildred (Miller) Gill. She was a graduate of Hamilton High School. On December 24, 1949, Ruth married Lewis Almond Hotelling and he preceded her in death on October 19, 2009. Ruth leaves behind her daughter, Rebecca (Russell) Smith of Corbin, Kentucky; two grandsons, Clay Steven Paul of Hamilton and Russell Smith II of Corbin; granddaughters (pets) CeeDee and Snickers; sister, Melba Steve of Dallas, Texas; sister-in-law, Mary Childers of Hamilton; many nieces and nephews and friends.

Where my one and only will be waiting for me and once again for all eternity my husband of 60 years, Lewis A. Hotelling I will unite with son, Steve, and daughter, Saundra Sue.
