Ronald Dean Robbins

Ronald "Ron" Dean Robbins, age 69, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on November 2, 2021. He was born on January 19, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Joe Lee and Matilda "Tillie" (nee: Knuckles) Robbins.

Ron grew up in Trenton, Michigan where he enjoyed sports, playing outside with friends, and developed a reputation early on as a "gear head." He met his wife Debbie in high school and they married in 1974. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1974 in Business, Marketing, and went on to a successful 30+ year career at the Ford Motor Company. He and Debbie lived in the Detroit area initially, but then had tours in Phoenix, back to Michigan and then to Cincinnati.

Ron enjoyed going to the racetrack, cheering on his Michigan State Spartans, spending time with his grandchildren, and serving the Lord. After his critical heart failure in 2011, Ron was given new life strength following a successful heart transplant in 2018. Ron spent the remaining years of his life enjoying an active lifestyle that was devoted to his church, family, and friends. He was a member of Center Pointe Christian Church in Liberty Township in Liberty Township, Ohio before moving to Indiana in the summer of 2020 where he became a member of the Greenwood Christian Church.

Ron was preceded in death by his loving wife, Deborah "Debbie" Robbins. Ron leaves behind his son Matthew L. (Christina) Robbins; daughter Bethany N. (Brett) Griffith; brother John F. Robbins; sister Beverly (Jim) Naumann; grandchildren Haley M. Robbins, Breanna L. Griffith, and Blake D. Griffith.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021, from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Center Pointe Christian Church, 5962 Hamilton Mason Road, Liberty Township, Ohio 45011. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation with burial to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park, 2421 Princeton Road Hamilton, Ohio 45011.
