Robert L. "Bob" Hamel

Robert L. "Bob" Hamel, age 86 of New Miami, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Hamilton on June 7, 1927 the son of Louis and Sara Hamel. On June 15, 1962 he married Linda Lee Morgan, who preceded him in death. Robert was employed at Armco Steel for 25 years, retiring on June 30, 1989. Bob enjoyed working on and repairing cars. He is survived by two sons, Robert E. Hamel and Ronnie “Dustin” (Amy) Hamel; granddaughter, Nevaeh Hamel; sister, Joan Hutchinson; and special friend, Charlene Bowling. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Hamel; and two sisters, June Moore and Ester Moore. Funeral Service will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, 240 Ross Avenue, Hamilton, on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 2:00pm with Pastor Larry Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
