Raymond Taylor

Age 88, of Hamilton, passed away on Monday April 13, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Earnestville, Kentucky, on May 19, 1926, the son of the late James Penn and Carrie (Creech) Taylor. In Newport, Kentucky, on November 19, 1947, Raymond married Martha Noland and she preceded him in death on November 22, 2011. He was a U.S. WWII Army Veteran, Purple Heart recipient and multiple Bronze Stars. He was member of Eaton Road Church of God, Washington Lodge #17 F&AM, Oxford Lodge #267 F&AM, Washington Chapter #195 OES, Oxford Chapter OES, three time Past Patron of Stars, Past High Priest Chapter, All York Rights, Past Masters Council, Hamilton Commandery #41, Hamilton High Twelve and Past State Masonic President. Raymond is survived by his three sons, Calvin Frank Tipton, Raymond (Linda) Taylor, Jr. and James Randall (Linda) Taylor; eight grandchildren; many great grandchildren and sister, Cynthia Downey. Funeral Ceremony will be held at Eaton Road Church of God, 2000 Eaton Road, Hamilton at 12pm on Thursday, April 16, 2015, with Dr. Dale French officiating. Interment will follow at Millville Cemetery. Family and friends will be received prior to the service on Thursday from 10am to time of Masonic Services at 11:45am. Memorial contributions in memory of Raymond are suggested to the Church.
