Age 82 of West Chester, passed away on Monday April 22, 2013 at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born in Hamilton on January 2, 1931, the son of the late William Hargis and Bertha (Shepherd) Bowman. Ralph was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, having been awarded three Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart. Ralph has served the Hamilton community for over 25 years retiring in 1984 from the Hamilton Police Department. He is survived by his wife, Toni (Roddy) Bowman; sons, Larry Bowman and Biff (Colleen) Bowman; daughter, Kristen Plieninger; many grandchildren; brother, Bob (Linda) Bowman; sister, Betty French and nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two children, Jennifer Cunningham and David Bowman; sister Helen Kelly and brother William Bowman, Jr. Memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Monday April 29, 2013 at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home with Teresa Dutko, Celebrant officiating. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions be made in his memory to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
