Phyllis Delores Moxley

Phyllis Delores Moxley, age 87, died peacefully on Sunday December 10, 2023, at Majestic Care of Fairfield, Ohio. She was the sister of Richard Borden Daisey and the daughter of Richard Inness Daisey and Lois (Borden) Daisey, all of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Rev. James Moxley who preceded her in death on May 15, 2023. It is sad to lose her but also a relief, knowing that she is free of a body and mind that has been locked inside a prison of dementia for many years. We are comforted knowing she is now with her beloved husband “Jimmy” and her brother Dick, and happy at last.

Phyllis leaves behind her children David, Pamela, Richard, Charles, and Laura, along with 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Phyllis was born in Bluefield, West Virginia, and married her high school sweetheart Jim Moxley in their shared hometown of Princeton, West Virginia, and remained married until death. Over the course of their decades together, Phyllis and Jim lived in West Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, Florida, Alabama, and Kansas.
