Nola Mae Bowlin

Nola was born in Laurel County, KY on September 13, 1938 to Flora {Kelley} and Robert Witt.

Nola married James E. Bowlin in 1981. He passed away in 2009.

Nola retired from Lakota School District as a School Bus Driver after 40 years. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Nola will be deeply missed by her beloved children, John (Cindy) Short, Debbie (Rick) Gartrell, Kenny (Lisa) Short; 12 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Nola was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Bowlin of 28 years, her first husband, John Short, her stillborn daughter, Linda Faye, and her 12 brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 11 at 6 p.m. at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Rd. Hamilton, OH 45011. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park on Saturday, March 13 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Hamilton at 1010 Eaton Ave. Hamilton, OH 45011.
