Mike A. DiStaola

Age 86 of Hamilton, passed away on Tuesday April 12, 2016 at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born on October 25, 1929 in Hamilton, the son of the late Dominic and Clementina (Perrotta) DiStaola. Mike received his education in Hamilton and continued to Xavier University where he received a Master’s in School Administration. A long time Teacher, Coach, Asst. Principal and Athletic Director for the Hamilton Schools, retiring in 1985. Mike is survived by his wife of 54 years, Phyllis (Koepke) DiStaola; three children, Mike A. DiStaola, Jr., Christine DiStaola and MaryBeth (Martin) Miller; three grandchildren, Lance, Will and Elizabeth; three siblings, Mary Carolyn (Merle) Sheard, Mary Angela (Larry) Donovan and Joe (Carolyn) DiStaola. He was also preceded in death by his step-mother Rose Scarpa DiStaola. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Friday April 15, 2016 at St. Peter in Chains, 382 Liberty Avenue Hamilton, Ohio. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home.
