Melissa Ann Knox

Melissa Ann Knox, born on November 5, 1969, peacefully passed away in her sleep on April 26, 2024. Melissa found solace in life’s simple pleasures, whether it was the wind in her hair while riding her Harley, spending time with her family and friends, planting flowers, or enjoying a cup of coffee and a cigarette under the sun’s warm embrace. Despite the challenges of the past couple of years, she fought valiantly, holding on for her girls and grandchildren, because they were her driving force and what she lived for.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Ann Moore, and her grandparents, Jacob and Jacqueline Freid.

Melissa is survived by daughters, Mallory (Jason) Banks, Mollie Gabbard, Myah Knox, Macie (Carlos) Barrera; grandchildren, Keylee, Jewelann, Zurie, Kano and Zyaire; father, Curtis Moore; sister, K’Shonna Brown; companion/friend Shawn Thomas. As well as aunt(s), uncle, cousins and many close lifelong friends whom she considered family.

In honoring Melissa’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Instead, her family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of her vibrant life, with details to be shared on Facebook once arrangements are made.
