James Starrett Jr.

He leaves behind a legacy of love that survives in the hearts of his son, Michael, and daughter, Dawn (Mark) Zimmerschied. The light of his presence will continue to shine through his grandchildren Amanda McDonald, Alexis (Robert) McGuire, Susan Starrett, James (Stephanie) Starrett, Christopher Stayton, Steven Stayton, and Ronald Stayton and his great grandchildren, Katrina, Aleeya, James, and Aleah. Also grieving his loss are his sister-in-law, Maryann Starrett and his extended family.

Jim had a profound dedication to his community, from serving in the New Jersey National Guard to cheering for the Cincinnati Reds, Bengals and his beloved Philadelphia Eagles. This devotion to others was best exemplified when he successfully rescued an elderly neighbor from blazing fire after attempts by other neighbors had failed.

A man of profound faith, Jim found solace in worship at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Cape Coral, Florida. He now rests in eternal peace, joining his loving wife, Joan, his daughter, Linda Koch, his daughter-in-law Carrie, his parents Marguerite and James, and his dear brother, Frank.

The funeral arrangements are being handled by Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home and inurnment at Coral Ridge Cemetery in Cape Coral, Florida. The family will hold a private memorial service.
