James Mathew Cassity Jr.

Cassity, James Mathew Jr., age 82, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023. He was born in Morehead, Kentucky on March 29, 1941 to James Mathew Cassity, Sr. and Etta Mary (Smith) Cassity. He loved NASCAR and drag racing, James met his wife of 52 years at drag racing, served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam, worked at the Fishel company from age 17 until age 81 - as a laborer and eventually becoming Vice President of the company, Cincinnati Reds fan, Baseball Commissioner of the Liberty Sports Organization, also, a Coach for the Liberty Sports, loved his Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren taking them to breakfast and sneaking Oreos to them.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Lee Cassity; brothers, Sam and Joseph Cassity.

James is survived by his children, Dawn L. Jenkins (Ben) and Daniel P. Cassity (Renae); four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Cassity; brothers, John and Elijah Cassity. He will be loved and cherished by a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 11:00 am until Services at Noon at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45011. Officiated by Pastor,Wayne Yeager.
