Elmer Lee Homan, age 94 of Seven Mile, Ohio passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Hospice of Cincinnati in Hamilton. Elmer was born on December 15, 1927 to Herbert and Germaine (Kuntz) Homan. He graduated from New Miami High School in 1945 and served briefly in the Navy from 1945 until 1946. On March 4, 1950 he married his late wife Barbara Jean (Pasley) Homan. For 45 years, he was employed in the lumber industry at Henneberger Lumber, Carter Lumber, and Furrows.
Elmer was a man of few words whose greatest hobby was cars. During his lifetime, he bought and sold nearly 100 cars including Corvettes and 8 Jaguars. He was also a collector of die-cast car models and coins. He was an expert skier, avid bowler, and loved big-band music. Elmer always made sure that his family was taken care of and put them first. He was loved and will be greatly missed.
Elmer is survived by his daughter, Marcia Fuhrman; brother, George (Carol) Homan; grandchildren, Eric (Michelle) Fuhrman and Lisa (Paul) Thompson; great-grandchildren, Jessie Johnson, Regan Margera, and Reese Fuhrman; two great-great-grandchildren; and cousin, Donald Rohrkemper.
Elmer was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Homan; daughter, Diana Homan; and sister Dolores Zehler.
A Visitation will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South "D" Street, Hamilton on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 11:00am with the Funeral Service beginning at noon.
