Doris Arlene Reister, age 86 of Hamilton, passed away at Golden Years Nursing Center on Thursday, March 24, 2016. She was born in Hamilton on October 21, 1929 to Clure and Ruth (Britten) Butts. Doris was a graduate of Reily High School in 1947, and past President of PTA 4 times in Hanover and once for Pierce Elementary in Hamilton. Doris was a 4H Advisor for 11 years; a member of the Murstien Line Dancers at Senior Citizens Inc.; and also a member of Senior Citizens Inc. She was employed at the Credit Union at Miami University for 17 years retiring in 1991. On October 1, 1949, in Hamilton, she married John Reister, and he preceded her in death in 1990.

She is survived by three children, Jane Conrad, Gary (Nancy) Reister, and David (Mary Jo) Reister; seven grandchildren, John, Wendy, Brett, Nathan, Kaitlyn, Bethany, and Tommy; five great-grandchildren, Devin, Paige, Samantha, Kayla, and John. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Florence Rust and Esther Akatins.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday March 29, 2016, at 2PM. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 29, 2016 from 12Noon - 2PM at the funeral home.
