Crystal Lynn Newmister, age 30, passed away on September 30, 2021 at her residence on Donna Street in Hamilton, Ohio. Born January 8, 1991 in Toledo, she fought a long battle with Huntington’s disease. Daughter of David and Tina (nee Kosch) Newmister, Crystal was a delight to her parents. Crystal is preceded in death by her dearly beloved mother, Tina. She is survived by her father David (Lorrie) Newmister, her sister, Raina Newmister, and grandmothers Lina Newmister and Diane Streib, as well as Uncles Beau Dean Bays, Dan and Tracy Newmister and Aunt Christine Albright, their spouses, and many cousins.
Crystal lived in Alaska with her parents from age 3 to 10 years old, attending Lake Otis Elementary School in Anchorage. There she did fun things with her beloved Big Sister Barb and hiking, bike rides and exploring with her dad. Dave, Tina and Crystal moved back to Toledo, Ohio, to be with her grandmother Diane, where she attended Marshall Elementary school and the Toledo School of Arts.
Crystal moved to Archbold, Ohio when she was 16, sharing an apartment with her father. She attended Archbold High School and Vocational school. Crystal went to the Homecoming dance, played baseball with Special Olympics, enjoyed summer camp, Cedar Point, vacationing at Disney World and Universal Studios in Florida, Comic Con, going to the movies, bowling and shopping with her friends and family.
Visitation will be held at Webb Noon Kidd Funeral Home, 240 Ross Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013, beginning at 11:00 am on Sunday, October 10, 2021 followed by a service at 2:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to the Newmister farm after the service.
