Cherie L. Smith

Age 73 of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2013 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Middletown on May 19, 1940, the daughter of the late Roy D. and Josie (McPherson) Link. Cherie graduated from Middletown High School Class of 1958 and Jewish Hospital as an RN. On September 9, 1967 she married Thomas J. Smith and he preceded her in death on May 10, 1989. Cherie had previously worked at Garden Manor for 25 years as the Director of Nursing and was an evaluator of nurse’s aid certification for the State of Ohio. She is survived by her daughter, Kelli (Chip) Condon; two grandchildren, W. Jacob Condon and Taylor J. Condon; sister, Faye (David) Darrell; and two nieces, Jodi (Tim) Melton and Traci (Robert) Seiber. Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
