Charles Jack Stumpf, 67, Marion, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on February 11, 2022. He was born March 20, 1954, in Ohio. Charles was adopted in 1965 by William C. and Kathleen (Beckett) Stumpf, both preceded him in death. He graduated from Badin High School in 1972 and entered the Navy where he served for two years. He was employed at General Motors in Fairfield, Ohio, transferring to the Marion, Indiana plant in 1988 and taking early retirement in 1990. At that point he became what he liked to call a professional tourist, driving an 18-wheeler until his retirement in December 2016.
Charles leaves his wife of over 27 years, Cheryl J (Baker), her daughters, Bobi (Steven) Hoover, Stefani Brown, and Staci (James) Jones, his daughter Cora (David) Ferrell, son Joseph Stumpf, 7 grandsons, and 9 granddaughters. He also leaves brothers: Eugene (Pamela) Wallen, Tim (Lill) Sanders, and Tim Stumpf Sr. as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and various other relatives. He will be greatly missed by family and friends, and especially by his wife’s Newfoundland, Chloe.
