DAVIS, Carol Lee, age 90 of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on July 24, 2021. Born April 19, 1931 in Eubank, Kentucky, Carol was the son of Clint and Mary (Greene) Davis and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. A long-time resident of Morrow, Ohio and graduate of Morrow High School class of 1949, Carol was an honorable US Army veteran who entered active duty during the Korean War (1953-55), remaining as a reservist until 1961. He retired from The Celotex Corporation in Lockland, Ohio, after 41 years as a skilled Millwright and Inspector. Carol was a faithful follower of Christ and supported several churches in his lifetime where he made many friends. He was an avid reader, loved woodworking, building and fixing things and was known for his cooking skills, especially Parker House Rolls, Butterscotch Sundae cake and chili. He had a special passion for gardening of all types and sharing the fruits of his labor with others. These things he passed on to his children, including his intense love of travel, adventure and curiosity for the world. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Eva Joy (Bill) Crowe, Stella Jo Buckler, Geraldine Faye (James) Sempsrott and Robert Clint Davis (Bud). Carol leaves behind his devoted wife of nearly 57 years (September 4), Diane Faye (Nichols) Davis of Hamilton, Ohio; Daughters Mary Beth (Steven) Davis Hawk of Madeira, Ohio, and Rebecca Davis of Liberty Township, Ohio; son Timothy (Despina) Davis and grandson Isaiah Davis of Hania, Crete, Greece; an uncle of Somerset, KY, a few cousins, brothers and sisters in-law, and many dear nieces and nephews. A memorial service for friends and family will be held on August 7, 2021. The visitation will begin at 12:30 PM with a service to follow at 01:00 PM. Inurnment will take place at 01:45 PM and include military honors. The family appreciates memorial donations to one of the following charities Carol supported (or charity of your choice): ‘Operation Ramp-It-Up’ for veterans, Lebanon First Church of God or Camp Lebanon Retreat Center.
