Age 81 of St. Clair Township, known to his family as “Pa” passed away on Wednesday August 19, 2015 at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield surrounded by family. Bill was born on January 4, 1934 in Hamilton, the son of the late Gentry and Candus (McIntosh) Dunaway. Bill retired from Chester Products in Middletown. Bill travelled the United States as a Union Welder putting in Commercial swimming pools. Including one at the Trump Tower in Atlantic City where he was personally thanked by Donald Trump. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by the love of his life for 62 years, Hazel Dunaway; three children, Debbie (Sid) Staples, William “Billy” (Linda) Dunaway and Lana (Jon Fox) Patton; seven grandsons, Michael (Zen) Staples, Jeffery (Melissa) Staples, Jason (Dusty) Dunaway, Joseph (Samantha) Dunaway, Joshua (Sarah) Dunaway, Joseph (Kaela) Sprague and Christopher Sprague; Ten great grandchildren, Khiley, Brady, Caden, Zachary and Akiesha Staples, Coen, Felicia, Juliana and Audrey Dunaway, and Adelyn Sprague; four siblings, Dorothy Wilcox, Margie Roberts, Richard (Faye) Dunaway and Art Dunaway; brother-in-law Charles Young; good friend and neighbor Jack Strauthers; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral ceremony will be held at 2:00pm on Monday August 24, 2015 at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Mullins officiating. Interment will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to services from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at the funeral home. The family would like to give a special thank you to the caring and loving staff of the Parkside Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Fairfield.
