Dearest Wendy, John, Sharon and Heather, please accept my sincerest and heartfelt condolences.  This is a shock to me as Alan was much too young for this to happen.  I remember good times as your neighbor across the street on 24 Redbud Land, babysitting for Sharon, Heather and Alan.  You are good people and I know this is also a shock for you too.  Please take care and God Bless you and your family; Alan's too.

I loved Alan as a brother may he rest in peace in the arms of Jesus in Heaven.  I just heard today so sorry for your family and everyone's great loss. My prayers are with  John Wendy Sharon and Heather.

We didn't find out until it was too late as we live in Ky now about Alan or we surely would have came to his funeral he was always a great guy always happy and like Sharon said always golden. Our condolences to the Freeman family for their loss.

Sorry to hear this. He was not a very good "Four-square" player in 5th grade, but I forgot about that after he gave me my first kiss. Rest in Peace and prayers to the family.

Just a couple of my favorite memories will be what he said   "Golden"  and "I love that".  He said that all the time.  He was so happy, all the time,  will extremely, extremley miss his company.

Alan was always in a good mood.

He will be missed.

   Whenever I hear that someone has passed, I often find myself flooded with memories and feelings, yet words are either absent or inadequate to express. For me, trying to explain the joy of our friendship is like trying to explain a cloud to someone who is blind. It's just nearly impossible for someone to grasp unless they witnessed it for themselves. 

   Fortunately many people witnessed Alan's infectious personality and were drawn closer to him by his ability to tell a story and make people smile even when they really didn't feel like smiling. It's something I still cannot do! Alan did it with ease and had the ability to share with me exactly how he felt or what he witnessed at any number of moments in his life and in our friendship from yeas gone by.

   One of the things I would like for people to know is how much he loved his family. On more than one occasion I heard him refer to his dad as brilliant, a genius or ahead of his time. There were many times when he said he wished he had the money to invest in some of his dad's ideas or had the money to buy him a new Jag so he could enjoy it rather than do repairs. Alan loved talking about his trips to Vegas and England to see his mom's family and I know why because I always loved talking to Wendy's father when he would visit America. Like many young men probably Alan dreamed of giving his mom lavish gifts. He wanted to treat her like the Queen of England because to him she held more value in his heart then any real queen could.  I know he loved his sisters far more than maybe they even realized. Guys just aren't good at expressing that sort of thing. Yet on more than one occasion I remember him saying he was going to do something for one of them. When Sharon was in a bad car accident in the MG his concern was evident and his connection to them both was sincere. 

   The final thing I would like for people to know is that I don't believe Alan would want you to be sad. He loved to laugh and he was great at making others laugh. Often times I see people use the death of a loved one as an excuse to be miserable. I don't believe for a moment that is what Alan would want. I believe he would want us all to go on and prosper. I believe he would want us to move forward with our lives and remember the good times we all shared with him. While I may weep for his loss, I will honor his memory by pressing on in a positive way.

   Alan and I spent a lot of time together during a couple years in my life when I was really facing a lot of challenges. He always cheered me up without even trying. We would head out to do some work and the next thing I knew he was telling me a story and we were both cracking up laughing, even though sometimes it was at his expense. He was good for me during a time when I needed him most and I wish he were here for me to tell him that. Hopefully he knew!

Deepest condolences to the Freeman Family.  My fondest memory  of Alan is his being the life of the party.  He will be missed by both family and friends.

Alan you are very missed by many people that you have touched in your heart through out your journey here on earth . You are without a doubt one perfect , loving , kind , respectful young  man . Which now has become another angel in Heaven ! Until we meet again bro . Alan was a true a caring friend, who always had a smile on his face and kind words on his lips. I will miss you, and never forget you my dear friend.

Just the thought of Alan brings a smile to my face, he treated everyone as a friend and when he walked into a room he filled it with laughter and happiness.  He was a wonderful person who touched many of our lives in a positive way.  He will truly be missed.

Alan, you're smile and laugh will be greatly missed. Your presence on earth always left smiles and happiness.
