William "Bill" J. Geall

Geall, William J. (Bill) -88, died Sept. 24, 2022. He is survived by his children Anne and Robert Geall, his grandchildren, Jodie and Sarah Geall and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Carole (Clarke) Geall and by sisters, Lil (Hannen), Jeanne (Elchuck) , a brother David Geall and his parents William and Louisa (Stevens) Geall.

Bill was born in Toronto in 1934 to parents who were immigrants from England. Later in life he studied drafting. He moved to Halifax in the late 1950’s for work. There he met his soon to be wife Carole Clarke. He worked for Engineering Services Company Ltd for 30 plus years as a Draftsman through the company’s several owner and name changes. Bill and Carole moved to Spryfield in 1959 where they lived until the 1980’s. They both eventually moved into Melville Heights retirement living facility where Bill was living until his death.

Bill loved woodworking, gardening, computer games, bird watching and watching golf. He especially enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters Sarah and Jodie. They were the light of his life, and he was so proud of them. He was a member of a local Baptist Church, which was a comfort to him especially after the death of his wife.

There will be no formal funeral or visitation. Donations to Alzheimer’s charities in his name would be much appreciated.
