William "Bill" Vernon Durling

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of William Vernon Durling Sr., born December 10th, 1948. He was happily retired over the last few years from the Stanfield International Airport. Bill enjoyed travelling to Cuba with his wife Helen and family, going for drives in his Jeep, spending time with his beloved dog Katey, and was always ready to tell one of his many jokes. He was devoted to his family and always there when we needed him. He was most proud of his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them grow up. Our much loved husband, father, and Grampie Bo will be deeply missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Helen (Sillers); son Bill Jr. (Jennifer); daughter Lisa; grandsons Alexander (Kristen), Andrew, and Nicholas; three great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and three brothers (Caleb). He was predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and Reginald Durling; and brother, Ronald. A celebration of life gathering will be held at JA Snow Funeral Home on Lacewood Drive, Saturday December 14th from 2pm-4pm.
