Wayne was many things to many people. A loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, to his family, as well as a caring friend. People were important to Wayne and he was important to them, but none were more important than his children and grandchildren. Wayne had many beautiful qualities that he freely shared with people and our lives are richer for it. His honesty, compassion, strength, courage, generosity, and humor were all natural qualities for Wayne as breathing is to some.
Wayne loved camping, watching old western movies, music, and most of all playing his guitar. Wayne worked for DND at the Halifax dockyard as a seaman for 29 years and absolutely cherished his job going to sea and his crewmates cherished him.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 6-9 pm at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax where a celebration of life service will also be held for Wayne on Friday February 21, 2020 at 2pm followed by a reception.
