Ward Richard Robinson

Robinson, Ward Richard – 67, of Halifax, NS passed away suddenly on September 30th, 2011 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in Halifax, NS., he was the son of the late Silas”Ted” and Myrtle(Caudle)Robinson of Walton,NS. Ward was always a happy person with a great love for life. He was a true gentleman, an avid outdoorsman and cherished his time at the cottage with family & friends. Always quick with a joke and made sure everyone around him was happy. He was Sales Manager of Citadel Office Equipment for many years then employed with MT&T and was currently working with the Herald as a retirement job. Ward is survived by his loving spouse Linda Reid, daughter Marsha (Mark) Robinson-Bourque, Brookside, Son Trevor (Jyl Mackinnon) Robinson, Dartmouth, step-son Troy (Lisa) Reid, Sackville, brother Dale Robinson, New Glasgow, sister Lois Padley, Halifax, grandchildren: Aidan, Timothy, Stephen, Brandon, and Troy, and several nieces and nephews. Brothers in-law Gilles Boudreau, Sackville, Richard Boudreau, Halifax, Sister in-law Elizabeth (Peter) MacDonald, Antigonish, life-long friends David Smith, Halifax, Murray McIsaac, Halifax. He was predeceased by brother Carl. Visitation will be held Wed. Oct. 5, 2011 2-4pm & 7-9pm with a Legion service at 6:50 pm and a celebration of Ward’s life Thurs. Oct. 6, 11am all in JA Snow Funeral Home 339 Lacewood Dr. Hfx, NS(455-0531). A private family burial will take place at a later time in St. John’s Cemetery.
