She was born July 1, 1951, in Diman, Lebanon to the late Antonious and Nahed Ghosn. She grew up in Diman and later immigrated to Canada as a young, enterprising woman. She established herself among family and friends as a successful local business owner.
Therese lived her life with a giving and compassionate nature. She loved her family immensely and devoted herself to their care and well-being. In her younger years, Therese helped in raising her sister’s children and was regarded as a maternal figure in their lives. If you ask any of her nieces and nephews they would all tell you at least one story of the little bird that told her about their mischievous behavior. She loved dancing the dabke, singing along to her favorite Fairuz song, tending to her garden, traveling around the globe, baking and decorating desserts, and most of all being in the company of family and friends.
Therese was a positive force in her community. She was an active member of Our Lady of Lebanon Church and the Canadian Lebanon Society. Therese extended her faith into everything she did. Her spirit was of genuine kindness, perseverance and patience. There was nothing she liked more than sharing her time and talents with those around her. Given her quiet confidence and gentle nature, her family and friends often sought her advice and guidance.
Therese is survived by her sisters Youmna Daniel, Sana Metlege (Andrew Metlege), Marie Rizkalla (Amin Rizkalla), Katia Hobeiche (Badoui Hobieche) in Canada along with her brother Charbel Ghosn (Nena Ghosn) and her sister Wafa Lattouf (Yousef Lattouf) in Lebanon. She is also survived by her many cherished nieces and nephews.
