Dear Della Marie, Peter, Margaret Anne and Mary Elizabeth,

We are saddened for the  loss of your Mother. Our family have many fond memories that span many years of our  time spent together with Betty and with your family.  She was a wonderful person and we enjoyed our friendships.  She will be missed. 

We will not be able to attend the ceremony, however we our sending our love and prayers at this difficult time.

What a dear woman.  Had the privilege of meeting Betty some 30 years ago, through her daughter Della Marie. Enjoyed our luncheons together, and talks.  She a great sense of humor and she always made me feel  so welcome.  She will be missed !

Dear Della Marie, Margaret Ann and Mary Elizabeth and Families:
We were lucky enough to have met your dear Mom on several occasions.  She will be missed and remembered in our hearts and prayers.  I know how difficult it is to let someone move on but to remember her 'full' life that was well lived.  The last time I talked to Betty she asked about my Mom and when I said she had passed away a few months before...I still hear her reply: "well I bet she is smiling down on all of us right now".  So we to can think of Betty as
smiling down on us as well.  Must be a lot of smiles where they are.

Not long after my husband and I moved to  Shannex  near the Gardens I met  Betty and realizes she was a remarkable lady!

She was always so perfectly dressed and clearly the women she usually shared dinner with considered her to be a very dear friend!

It was a pleasant surprise to discover our son Ian who is  a doctor at the Halifax Infirmary had been her physician for some time. He of course, could not discuss anything about her accept to say he found her  her to be a very charming patient!

Candidly, I do wish I had had much more time to meet with her but I am convinced you all must have loved her very, very much!!!


My sincerest condolences, Della Marie, to you and your family. I always enjoyed a special chat with Betty when we met at Chez Jay or a Gyro functions. She  will be missed and remembered.  Barb
