She was born in Inverness, February 24, 1949, to the late John A and Mary Ann (MacDonald) MacMaster. She was a longtime employee of Irving Shipyard, Halifax.
She is survived by daughters Emily (Jesse Lalonde), Waverley and Allison (Steve Fairbairn), Fall River, granddaughters, Mari Rose Lalonde, Gabrielle and Emilie Fairbairn, sisters, Marie (Duncan) MacDonald, Toronto, Ont., Betty (Leonard) MacGillivray, Calgary, AB., Julie Davis, Brampton, Ont., brothers, James Albert (Theresa), Cole Harbour, NS., Gerard (Anne), Port Hawkesbury, NS., Donald, Burnaby, BC., Earl, Calgary, AB., Sister in law Marg, Peterborough, Ont., many nieces, nephews, cousins and former husband Jon, Halifax. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers, Alexander, Angus, Bernie and George.
She is remembered lovingly by her family, many friends and co-workers for her great storytelling, quick wit and her beautiful smile which lit up the room. Although a long time resident of Waverley her great love for Judique never diminished. Her good friends could always count on her for a hot cup of tea, a good biscuit and a laugh. She loved to travel near and far with her family and close friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 4, from 1:00-3:00 and 6:00-9:00 pm in JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 5, at 1:00 pm at St. John XXIII Parish, 35 Colby Drive, Cole Harbour, Father Irek Bem SDS Officiating. Internment at a later date in St Andrew’s Parish Cemetery, Judique.
