Robert Lewis Heighton

HEIGHTON, Robert Lewis – Age 82, of Halifax, passed away on November 14, 2010, in the VG Site, QEII. Born in Halifax, he was the son of Lewis Ives Heighton and Nettie Mae Richardson. He was an employee of Irving Oil for 38 years. He was a loving father and grandfather. In his leisure time he enjoyed bowling, curling and auto mechanics. Robert is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Heighton (Carnell); daughters, Marie (Mike) Pilon and Cindy (Rick Hebb); sons, Joey (Susan) and Scott (Stephanie); sisters, Lillian Strickland and Dolly Denney; brothers, Gerarld Heighton and Ronald Heighton; grandchildren, Nicholas, Leann, Melanie and Krista; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Brittany. Predeceased by daughter, Ellen Mary; brother, James; and sister, Ruth Josey. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in Snow’s Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax. Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 18 at 11 a.m. in Snow’s Funeral Home, Halifax with Rev. Debra Burleson officiating. Reception immediately following.
