Maureen Davis

Maureen was born in Grand Falls, NL on June 29, 1936 and was the daughter of Gerald and Margaret (Ebbs) Browne. Maureen married Tom Davis on August 30, 1958, and they shared 58 wonderful years together, living in Dartmouth, Halifax, and Yellowknife.

After receiving a Nursing Degree from Mount Saint Vincent University and proudly practicing in her profession, her focus and joy was raising her family. Maureen was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who adored time spent with her extended family in New Brunswick and Newfoundland. She was an active member of the community, performing volunteer service through the Junior League and other organizations.

Maureen is survived by her brother Berks Browne (Rosemary) of Regina, daughter Margot Dietrich (Tim) of Halifax, Dara Chengappa (Roy) of Pittsburgh, and Tom (Meredith) of Guilford CT, her eight grandchildren – Peter, Robert and Warren Dietrich, Leela (James Macdonald) and Lara Chengappa, Addie, Hollise and Dara Davis, great-granddaughter Isla Macdonald, and many cherished nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful care given on Mount Lane at Parkstone, and at the Green St Berkeley.

A ceremony will be held on a later date. Donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross in honour of Maureen’s memory.
