Mary Theresa Sampson

Born in L'Ardoise, Cape Breton, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Marion (Martell) Sampson.

Mary was an employee of Sobeys for 29 years before retiring. She was a long- time parishioner of St. Theresa's Catholic Church, was a former member of the Seniors Choir, a former member of the Altar Society and received the Archdiocesan Medal of Merit for her volunteer work for the church.

She is survived by her sister, Ann, and her sister-in-law Teresa, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was pre-deceased by her brothers Albert(Doris) and Ambrose(Teresa) and her sisters Elizabeth and Margaret Anderson (Fred). Visitation will be held at Cruikshank's Funeral Home, Windsor St., Halifax on Wednesday, October 17 from 2-4 and 6-8pm.

Funeral mass will be held at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, North St., Halifax, at 11:00am, Thursday, October. 18. Reception to follow. Burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Theresa's Catholic Church.
