My dear Aunty Tilly, how I am going to miss you? You were always such a big part of my life. You weren't just an Aunt.  You were a mentor, you were like a Mother, but most of all you were a friend. I have so many fond memories of you growing up like spending March Break at your house as a child and going to church with you. You taught me the importance of prayer. I recall vividly the times I spent with you as a teenager helping you house clean or work in your garden. We had many laughs together. I will never forget the day you attended my STFX graduation with Mom & Dad. I was so happy you were part of this special day. You were always there to guide me especially when I needed you most like when Mom was fighting cancer. Your words of wisdom gave me strength. I will miss my visits with you at the Berkley and our lengthy phone calls. There's no doubt in my mind that you are in heaven right now likely chatting up a storm...lol. Aunty Tilly, you will remain forever in my heart and never be forgotten!

My deepest sympathies to Annette, Cyrille, Zoé, and other cousins. Also my sincere condolences to her close friends in Arichat and those who were dear to her at Caritas Residence.

Annette and Cyrille   you have my sympathies. We've all cared for a parent  and I understand your loss at this time. 

Dear Annette, sympathies to you and your family on the passing of your mother. I did not know her well, but she appeared to have such a placid demeanour. You were so devoted to her and her welfare, so no doubt there will be such a void in your lives. May the many years of memories keep her spirit close to your hearts. 

My sincere condolences to you and your family, Annette. Your mother’s kindness to me and my family when you lived next door to my grandparents is well remembered and cherished.

Annette and Family,

Mary would sit  with us in the dining room when she came to the Berkeley in Dartmouth.  She would always brighten our day with her smile and zest for life,  I was an only child and know how difficult it was to lose my parents.  The longer they are a part of our lives the harder it is to let them go even to a better place, There is comfort in knowing they loved you very much and were loved.

My husband,Bobby Martell, along with Betty DeWolfe McGlynn and her husband Dick, had the pleasure of spending time with Tilly the last time we visited Isle Madame. We were exploring genealogy and Tilly was a wealth of information.  She sent the men into another room and wanted to talk only with Betty and me. It was a delightful visit. Our prayers to the family.

Aunt Tillie you ran the race of life with determination and faith. I will always remember our many visits and laughs we had together at the Berkeley. The times we sat on the Berkeley patio in the shade doing our nails with solar oil. I will miss our phone conversations. The  many times you told me to always pray and to have faith and to never give up that God has a plan. I am sure that you are in the arms of Jesus now and reunited with Meme and Pepe and the rest of your siblings. You will be forever in my heart and I love you dearly. May Jesus wrap his arms around you Annette, Cyrille and Zoe as you grieve the loss of a amazing women. God Bless!

Oh Tilly’s smile! It was infectious. Treasured memories of meals shared around your dining room table. We so enjoyed her company. It was an honour to be included in her 100th birthday celebrations. Tilly and Bruce hit it off so well. Maybe it was the shared bookkeeping/accounting talents. Cheers dear Tilly ❤️

Sincere condolences to Annette, Cyrille & Zoé & all of Tillie’s extended family & friends. Tillie was a very special lady & mentor to many. I loved & admired her ability to fit in with the young & old alike. May she RIP and may God grant you all comfort as you continue your life’s journey without her. 

From the day Mary arrived at Caritas she fit right in.  She enjoyed daily Mass, having breakfast with Father John, took daily walks around the property and loved sitting on the bench out front talking with all the residents and visitors.  She was part of the knitting group, played cards and attended all the music events.  Her pal Mary Stevens would often sit at the piano and play for us and sing and MaryB as we called her, was always at her side.  We will all miss her and her beautiful smile and send our condolences to Annette and Cyrille and the family.
