Marie Ladoria Arnold

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Lidoria Arnold,age 104 on March 16, 2025 at Melville Lodge, Nursing Home in Halifax,NS.

Born in Rocky Harbour NL, she was the daughter of the late Silas and Maryanne Sparks. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was mostly raised in Cornerbrook until age 17 when she moved to NS. She married Johnny Arnold in 1942 and had many happy years together living in Woodlawn NS, until his passing. She later moved to Cole Harbour and then to Halifax where she lived at her niece Norma's home for over 20 years. For the last month of her life she lived in Melville Lodge Nursing Home where they gave her great care.

She loved to entertain family and friends in her younger years and also loved bowling, golf, doing crafts and travelling.

She belonged to Faith City Church(Faith Tabernacle} in Halifax for many years and was a faithful member. The highlight of her summers was going to Camp Evangeline Church Camp in Debert. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Johnny Arnold, 9 brothers and 4 sisters. She is survived by her niece Norma Higginbotham and several nieces and nephews in NL, NS, ON and USA.

Visitation Wednesday, March 19, 2025 ,6 pm to 8 pm at Cruikshank's Funeral Home at 2666 Windsor St, Halifax,NS.

Funeral service will be held Thursday , March 20,2025 at 11 am at Faith City Church at 6225 Summit St, Halifax, NS with Reception to follow.
