Murphy, Margaret Helen “Peg”, 73 of Halifax passed away Sunday, November 25, 2013 at the QEII Health Sciences Center, VG Site. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen (McGraw) Lindsay. Peg was an artist and an avid woodworker. Mom was a loving, generous, and caring person who loved her family deeply. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild as they were the light of her life. Peg will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by daughter Jo-Anne (Scott) Sutherland; sons Mark (Yoko) Murphy, Vancouver; Michael (Corinna) Murphy III, Calgary, Alberta; grandchildren, Michael IV and Matthew Murphy; Gregory and Christopher Sutherland. Peg was predeceased by her husband, Michael Jr. and sister, Ruth Oxner. A Memorial Service will be held 11 am Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax. Reception will follow the service. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville.
