TREMBLAY, Marc Bernard - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, Marc Bernard Tremblay, 25, of Halifax, on February 2, 2012. Born in Halifax, he was the son of Bernard Tremblay and Rose Marie (Jackson) Tremblay. Marc was very well liked and known as the ‘Gentle Giant’. He was an avid lover of music, and enjoyed playing the guitar. His favourite pastimes were playing video games and basketball with his many friends. He was also an animal lover, especially fond of cats. He enjoyed his job in the Meat Department at Sobeys. He is survived by his mother Rose Marie of Halifax, father Bernard and half brother Stefan Tremblay both of Ottawa; paternal grandmother, Lucille (Brisson) Tremblay of Sacre Coeur; Aunt Cathy (Peter Woolaver) Jackson of Dartmouth, Maryse (Guy) of Shannon, Patricia (Mario) of Quebec City; Uncles David, Gregory, Leonard (Kelly) all of Halifax, Stephen of Toronto, Eric (Marie) of Chicoutimi; girlfriend Angela Lloyd of Dartmouth, who is expecting their first child; and a very special family friend Ivy Gillingham of Halifax. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, George and Caroline (Tobin) Jackson; his paternal grandfather, Sylvain Tremblay.
Visitation will be held Wednesday February 8th at 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax (902)455-0531. Funeral service will be held Thursday February 9th at 10:30 am in Saint Benedict Church at 45 Radcliffe Drive. Cremation to follow. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery at a later date.
