Madeline Elizabeth Lambert

Born November 25, 1928 passed away peacefully after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia in Halifax on August 5, 2019. She was the last surviving child of the late William and Ruby Fader, Head of St Margaret’s Bay. She is predeceased by her husband Parker Murdoch and sons Bruce (Beth) and Parker Jr (Velma). Survived by her children, Yvonne Swinamer (Jim), Lucille Kocurek (Alfred), Lester (Nancy), Colette (Chris) and Ruby; 13 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. Madeline was a loving mother and grandmother known for her kindness and hospitality. Her door was always open to friends and family. She was most at home in her kitchen or working in the garden. For many years Maddie was an active member of the Mother’s Union at St Mark’s Anglican Church in Halifax. Hearfelt thanks go to the staff at Parkstone Enhanced Care, Citadel Court, where she resided for the past number of years. Donations may be made in Madeline’s memory to animal and children’s charities or a charity of choice. Visitation Thursday August 8 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 at JA Snow Funeral Home, Halifax. Funeral service Friday 3:00pm at St George Anglican Church, Head of St Margaret’s Bay, burial to follow with reception afterwards.
