Linda Louise Helen Marie Theriault

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Louise Helen Theriault on the morning of Feb 12 2024 at Hospice Halifax. Her loving and devoted partner Gerry and beloved dog Irie were at her side.

Linda was born in Montreal on Nov 26, 1956 to Lionel (Roger) Theriault and Helen (Beck) Theriault.

Linda grew up and spent her formative years in Halifax. After graduation from Dalhousie University, Linda ventured west to begin her career in public relations. She lived for a time in Toronto, Ottawa and Nanaimo, where she worked in PR for Nabisco Canada and then The Canadian Real Estate Association.

Linda met her life partner Gerry in Ottawa. Eventually, they moved back to Nova Scotia and made it their home.

Linda joined Acadian Sea Plants and became a vital part of that company for 25 years as Director of Corporate and Government Relations. She was well respected in her position. Linda was described as an outstanding employee by all who worked with her. Linda loved her work and over the years developed many long lasting friendships with her colleagues.

Linda is survived by her partner Gerry, her much loved Irie, her father Lionel (Roger) Theriault, Halifax, her sister Deanna O’Neil Windsor ON, her brother Richard (Judy) Theriault, Halifax, her loving niece Anita (Scott) Locey,Michgan, her precious nephews Alexander (Angelena), Benjamin (Briana) and Cameron (Abbey) Theriault , all of Halifax and by her adored great-nephew Logan Locey, Michigan. Linda also leaves behind many special and loving friends. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Linda is predeceased by her Mother Helen Theriault in 2018.

As per Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A funeral service will held from JA Snow Funeral Home, Lacewood Dr Halifax on Thurs Feb 22, 2024 at 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Halifax, Nova Scotia SPCA or to a charity of your choice.
