A true gentleman, I had the pleasure of singing with Kevin in the choir at Saint Benedict Parish.

Our deepest sympathy Joey, Becca and family in the loss of someone as special as Kevin. We have known Kevin for many years from Sydney, and reconnecting in Halifax.  Kevin was foremost the finest gentlemen, he loved people, great conversation and life. We were fortunate to have shared his culinary expertise earlier this year, and shared many laughs and great stories from his lifetime. It was always a pleasure to be in his company.  He spoke often of his special buddy, Braydon, whom he loved so much.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time.  Kevin, our friend, you will be sorely missed ~ you are a treasure. RIP Kevin.

Joey and family, I was so saddened to learn this evening of Kevin's passing. He truly was a wonderful volunteer with us, one we could count on faithfully. He took on a number of volunteer positions and enjoyed every one of them. He was my host for the visits to the QEII of the Salvation Army Brass Band each Christmas when the band would play music for the patients. Speaking of Christmas, he would start announcing in our office "11 months to Christmas" on January 25 and we knew we could count on Kevin to remind us each month just how close Christmas really was. Ironically, he passed away "4 months to Christmas" He was a doting great-uncle to Brayden and always had a picture to share and a story to tell us since Brayden's birth. While you will miss your uncle, we will miss a great friend. Thinking of you at this time of loss and sending you my condolences.

A warm and compassionate man, Kevin was a dear friend who had a significant impact in our lives.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

We had the privilege of meeting Kevin and sharing with him at The Salvation Army Men's Breakfast at the Centre of Hope.  He became a very good friend and we shared many a coffee with him.  A true Christian man who had no fear of dying for he was going "Home" to meet his Saviour.  So long friend.  We will meet again.  Your friends,Gerald & Lillian Colbourne and Bernie & Anne Borden. Dear Joey and family: Our sincere condolences. We have the fondest memories of Kevin. I worked at AC as well as Cape Breton Development  Tourism . We had many adventures there and he was such a professional.  It does not surprise us that he wrote his own Obituary - so like him to be organized.  Regards  Gail and Bob Muir

Kevin and Ray Peters gave me my first job at Devco in the Tourist Division in 1980.  I am so sorry to hear of his passing.  He was a very kind, decent and compassionate man.  All of the people I worked for since that time had to measure up to him and very few did.  I offer my deepest condolences to his family.  May he rest in peace!!!
