He was the son of Kenneth & Ethel (Machan) Purcell. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 64 years Betty (Boyce); his sons, Kenneth (Wendy) of Whites Lake, Charles (Kim) of Bedford and Thomas (Kim) of Winnipeg; his grandsons, Kenneth W., Boyce, Adam (Alysha), Colin, Eric (Rebecca) and Bradley; his step grandchildren, Matthew and Laura Gardner; his sister in-law, Connie Verran and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother and sister in-law Donald (Mary) Purcell and his brother in-law Harry Verran.
His family always came first. A lifelong resident of the North End, Kenneth enjoyed a life of travelling, hunting, fishing, and a good game of cards. He was an avid bowler and always had a story to tell. Kenneth was an early member of Saint Margret of Scotland Church. He worked as an accountant for Furness Withy (Ships and Services) and the office of the Public Trustee. Kenneth will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
