It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Joseph Paul Hauser. He passed away suddenly on July 16, 2015 with his wife, Sue, by his side. Born in Kitchener, Ontario in 1947 to Jessie E. Ruffell and Joseph I. Hauser. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father and grandfather who loved to be surrounded by people and chat about anything and everything.
He served in the Canadian Forces as a Military Police Officer, ending his career to get married and start a family. After various careers he eventually settled into driving buses for city transit and relocated his family to Halifax, where he was a bus driver for Metro Transit for 30 years - his kind, gentle spirit touching many throughout the city.
He was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Sue (Dubé); daughters, Julie (Jason), Angela (Alex); and son, Jeff (Candi). He also leaves on earth his much adored grandchildren, Ethan, Nathaniel, Laila, Lenora and Joey. He will also be greatly missed by his brother, Ray; and sisters, Jan (Terry) and Mickey (Jim). He is so loved and greatly missed by all of us.
A memorial service and celebration of Joe’s life will take place Friday, July 24 at 11:00 am in the J.A. Snow Funeral Home Chapel, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax.
