It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of John Kenneth Boutilier of Halifax, on April 4, 2021 at the QEII at age 61 after a short battle with cancer. John was the only son of the late Gerald and the late Ruth (Nicholson) Boutilier.
He is survived by his daughter Ashley (Taylor) Boutilier-Collins and her brother, sisters Rose Marie Mitchell, Goodwood, Diane (Carl) Carlton, Hatchet Lake, Nieces, Corrina, Kelly, Nephews, Kevin, Cory, Chris and their families and good friend Peter.
John worked as a PCW for many years at Beaverbank Villa, later to follow his dream of floral design working for himself. He had an eye for design creating many family wedding flowers and could always rearrange that special vase on any dining room table. John had many friends and could be a confidant to all. John enjoyed many visits to the family cottage in Tatamagouche, and the odd game of Yatzee, many family gatherings, dinners and time spent together.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 22nd, 3:00 at Sunrise Park Inter-Faith Cemetery, 2025 Prospect Road, Hatchet Lake for family and friends. Donations may be made to the John Howard Society in Johns name.
