Age 85 of Halifax, peacefully passed away on the evening of December 25, 2019 at Parkstone Enhanced Care. He was the son of Harry and Maud (Williams) Bourne, both of whom emigrated from England to Ontario. Predeceased by his wife Marie Sylvia (Shea); son Christopher; brothers Allan and Wally; and sisters Patricia and Margaret. John is survived by his son Jason, and daughter-in-law Lisa; grandsons Cameron and Braydon, Halifax; daughter Kim Stork and son Robert Bourne, both of California. He will be missed by all, including his sister in law and his many nieces and nephews. John was employed by the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission and enjoyed being outdoors, travelling, cooking, dogs and family. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Donations in John’s memory may be made to CNIB or SPCA.
