Jean Marie Dorey-Beauvais

Beauvais (Dorey), Jean Marie. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Jean fought a courageous battle against cancer that ultimately took her from us. She maintained a positive attitude throughout, concerned always about others before herself. She faced a very difficult experience with grace and dignity, and never lost her wonderful sense of humour. We are all better people for having had her in our lives. Jean is survived by her husband and best friend Richard (Rick) Beauvais; mother Edna Arnold, mother-in-law Ada Beauvais; daughters, Shauna Munn and Bobijean Beauvais; grandsons Marcus Munn and Ryan Ross; granddaughter, Shemara Sampson; sisters, Gwen Lambert, Vicky Dorey; brothers, Bob Dorey and Mark Dorey; numerous in-laws, several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Jean was predeceased by her father Howard Ivan Dorey, her father-in-law, Andre (Andrew) Beauvais; grandparents, Mark and Gladys Dorey; James and Helen Woodsworth; brother-in-law, Jacques Champoux, and nephew Andre Champoux. Visitation will be held in Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street from 2 – 4 and 6 -8 p.m. on Friday September 20, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 21.
