She is survived by her son, Ian Watt (Brenda), Halifax, grandchildren Robert Watt (Patricia Luke) of Oshawa ON and Gwendolyn Watt (Johnny Heighton) of Halifax, great granddaughter, Lily Watt, sister Helen Wallace and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Jean was predeceased by her first husband George Watt and second husband Gordon King, brothers Harold, Gordon and John and sisters Mildred, Gladys and Dorothy.
Jean’s passion was music and she was an exceptional pianist with a special talent of being able play by ear. Because of this, she would play for hours at family events spurring many unplanned and unrehearsed sing songs. She played often for the Kiwanis and weddings.
Jean was a member of the 20 Leaguers Bowling team for many years. She loved spending time with her family, going on drives and joining them for meals. She also loved to bake. Jean was a member of St. John’s United Church and was very active with their UCW.
Special thanks to Dr. Teodorescu, Dr. Couture, and the staff and residents of the Arborstone, who welcomed her warmly for the short time she was with them.
Family and friends will be received at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, Lacewood Drive in Halifax, on January 4th, from 6-8PM. The funeral service will be held at the same location, January 5th, at 10AM. The Burial will follow at the St. Johns Anglican Cemetery.
Family flowers by request. Donations may be made to the MS Society of Canada.
