Higginbottom Fleet, Amanda Jane “Janie”, age 90 of Halifax, formerly of Murray River PEI, passed away suddenly on February 2, 2015. Born September 4th, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret Higginbottom. She is survived by her husband, Harry Fleet, Halifax; daughters, Debbie McInnis (Bernie) Truro; Heather Smith (Roger), Halifax; Marilyn Ewing (Robert), Halifax; son, David MacDonald, Halifax; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Janie was predeceased by sons, Ronnie, Donnie, Jimmy, Wayne, and Harold. Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, Friday, February 6th. Funeral will be on Saturday, February 7th at 1:30 pm, both at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, 902-455-0531, with Reverend Andrews Presiding. Reception to follow.
